Michelle Franzen always loved to bake. Originally from Long Island, NY, she found her way to Florida to be with family and attend Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando to study Pastry Arts. After graduating, however, she found it difficult to find a job in her chosen specialty and instead worked professionally as a Sous Chef and and Executive Chef in corporate settings.

Now the Pastry Chef at Amici’s Bakery, Franzen is beyond happy to get back to her true passion, and the results are phenomenal. The bakery has has a new menu of cakes, cookies and cupcakes—even donuts!—and Michelle intends to keep expanding the offerings as her tenure progresses. In addition to regular customer favorites, there are revolving selections of featured cakes and pastries. Need a special one-of-a-kind cake?
